On tap @ Top Hops. This is a good looking one, deep dark brown in color and a nice sting chocolate brown head on the top. The aroma gives my a nice sharp hoppy essence. Its almost a little minty, hefty roasted and really grassy. Mint pastilles? Smells quite good. Its definitely well hooped. Soft roasted, softer than the aroma. Its nice and oily in the mouth and just above average on the relatively big carbonation bubbles. Delicious! 18.06.2015

473ml can kindly shared by Finn. Decent tan-coloured head leaving clingy lacing behind. Black body with a deep rustic shade. Roasted black malty aroma with liquorice to the fore.Well blended taste of liquorice, dark chocolate, dark fruit and pine. Long lived roasted malt-fruity ending. Full bodied, warming and nice (Session with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 11.03.2017).

Boks 473ml fra Alko Oulu - Stockmann. Delt med djoeye & Rune i heimen 11 Feb 17. Svart. Høyt kremaktig skum med farge. Litt lacing. Forsiktig lakrisaroma med hint av frukt. Smaken innholdsrik. Nøtter. Røyk. Litt tørr etter hvert. Avslutter med sjokolade & lakris. Utmerket øl med velintegrert alkohol.

47,3cl can from Alko, Helsinki. Pours very dark mahogany, close to black, with a beige head. Roasty and quite hoppy aroma with licorice, dark fruits, pine, some citrus and hints of herbs. Moderate to medium sweet with a quite pleasant mixture of hoppy and roasty flavours and a balanced bitterness. Easy to drink, well integrated alcohol and certainly enjoyable.

Can 1 pint. Pours a clear black with a deep burgundy red and a beige head. Amazing aroma, citrusy hops blending in with subtle roast. Medium body, discreet sweetness in the malt balanced out by a dry bitterness - but everything is so subtle and refined. One of the best Black IPAs I’ve ever had. 291116 8/4/8/3/15
