Named after a warlike tribe of ancient Britains, the Silures made a fierce resistance to the Roman conquest around AD 48. This powerfully hopped, beer is testament to their skill and strength of character. Brewed with sweet Caramalt and Maritime Spruce tips in the percolator, Silures delivers delicious tropical fruit flavours with a hint of pine needles. Robust and thoroughly rewarding.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge drunk at home. Clear gold thick white head. Like the Cat Scratched just a touch of diacetyl. Decent condition in the mouth, some toasty hops, but just a bit too much butter for me. ok

Brillant golden, clear, frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of sweet bit custardy pale malts, light pale toffee, grassy hops, some dough
Taste of zesty grassy hops, more of those bit custardy malts, slight butterscotch, touch peppery
Palate - Medium body, bit too fizzy, very bitter palate. Finish - Over dry bitter finish, slight herbal notes
