Tap at Ashley’s. Poured a cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma was very citrusy with lemon and grapefruit notes. A sweet flavor with plenty of fruit notes, grapefruit, orange and lemon among others. Nice for a Witbier.

Bottle. Ap: Pours yellow with a white head. Ar: Citrus sourness, some spices and vanilla. Fla: CItrus sourness, small spiceiness. Ov: Really good and refreshing belgian wit. I enjoy the saison-like sourness. Miss some complexity and depth.

Bottle batch 382/383. Pours with a cloudy, glowing golden body and a creamy white head that leaves good lace. Really a good looking beer. Aroma of cracked pepper, star anise, grains of paradise, tart lemon, coriander and orange peel. Taste is initially bitter with orange peel up front and some tartness, but not nearly as strong as other Jolly Pumpkin beers can be. I think this is the lightest I have had. Super drinkable with a coriander finish. Medium carbonation that finishes dry. Nice summer beer, but not as good as some of the other JP masterpieces, which I will re-rate tomorrow night with m4rest88.

Batch 298 750 mL bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours a clear golden yellow with a large head. Of course the end of the bottle provides lots of yeasty particles. Great head retention and lacing. Very fruity and slightly funky aroma with notes of candied citrus, apple, pear, caramel. Taste is also very fruity with lemon, orange, cherry, spice and a slight tart funkiness. Smooth, slightly syrupy and full bodied.

Crystal clear coloured light amber colour with a bright orange glow. Thin white head tops the beer, but the colour speaks for itself. Aroma of wheat, yeast, curacao and a light fruity scent. Pretty nice for the style, but missing a few large whiffs. Medium-bodied; Mild taste throughout - coriander seed and lots of it, very strong up front. Following soon behind with some nutmeg and wheatie characteristics - the yeast is somewhat noticeable. Aftertaste is light and airy - only some of the malt is noticeable, none of the hops and none of the sweetness. Overall, a good attempt at the style - I thought this was better from the appearance & aroma than it actually was. However, all-said, I would recommend people trying this beer. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased at Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 04-September-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild brett-ish citric and dry wheaty with a mild spice note. Wineous dry and citric flavoured, lending towards a dry white wine and with a smooth wheaty base flavour. Light spice accent. Light barnyard note on the back of the nose. Medium dry to dry and spiced into the finish. Nice one.
