Very sour, very fruity. Little bit of vinegar, but not enough to bother. Superdry. Fruity but not fresh. Yum.

Clear purple appearance with no head. Aroma is a bit soapy and has some paint. Similar flavour.

Bottle from "The Bottle Shop, London. Great tart sourish fruity nose with lots of funky horse-blanket, but no carbonation. Totally flat. The Lambic starts fruity tart and very sour. The cassis is in the back, the aroma is there, but the vinegar-sourness is dominating the picture. Long and sour sourish aftertaste, more vinegar-sourness than horse-blanket, cassis fruity in the back.

Bottle. Sweet and sour with high fruitiness. A bit earthy. Nice tartness in the end. Well balaned and drinkable!

Rating #2500. Bottle, bottled March 2016. Pours a murky purple color with a small but stable creamy pinkish-tan head. One can immediately smell the Hanssen-like vinegar acidity without even coming close to the glass. The aroma further includes wood, cassis notes, manure. Taste is some cassis, but also more wood, manure, dirty diapers and a bit lacto. The fruit is interwoven with the lambic character. Hardly any carbonation, but some foamyness noticeable. Dry and sour finish, but not as aggressively sour as I would have expected - it’s not mouth-puckering as most Timmermans is or some older Hanssens bottles I’ve had. It’s actually very confusing: You expect it to be extremely sour from the smell and flavour, but in the end, it’s tame. Very rural and dirty, but very good - as you expect from Hanssens.Fresh 2017 bottle vs 2016 bottle in July 2017. The 2016 one is quite harsh, as known, but the fresh one is super fruity and mellow. The fresh one is superb.

Bottle at Kent Beer Festival 2016. Clear very deep purple red colour no head. Some manure on aroma Some blackcurrant. That is quite sour almost glue like. Wow. Aggressively sour. Blackcurrants glue vinegar extremely challenging. Well at least I had it. Very dry on the finish. Tannin sour dryness. Wow.

Bottle. Hazy ruby red with no head, complete flat surface. Aroma is sulfur, vinegar, oak notes, old red wine, funkiness, berry notes. Taste is typically Hanssens tart, astringent feel, red old wine, vinegar, hard to detect cassis but some old berry notes are detected, again oaky note, dry and tart finish. Medium body, zero carbo. Hm, something about the sulfur (typical young lambic?) and oak combo that doesn’t quite add up for me. Experimental indeed.

375 ml bottle. Dark red ruby hazy color with small pink head. Yeasty aroma, funky, barnyard, grapes, wood, tart fruity, berries. Light sweet and acidic taste tart fruity and funky like aroma. Light oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours clear dark red, with a small creamy head. Aroma is dark berries and fruit peel, bretty wood, cork and some funky farmyard. Medium to full body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is tart wooden brett and musty notes of fruits, dark berries, tannins, farmyard and notes of cork. Dry, musty bretty finish.
