Can picked up Rosemount Market, Aberdeen. It pours black with a thick, fluffy brown head. The aroma is fresh, dark roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, charred, bright and juicy, orangey jelly, peach and dark chocolate covered mango. The taste is firmly dry, punchy and lingering bitterness, dark roasted malt, charred, coffee grounds, toasted pine, dark chocolate torte, has a very pleasing orangey fruit vibes, mango, peach, orange peel, tangerine, kumquat, toasted spice and a nip of alcohol. Finish is lingering bitter roast. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Super flavourful and punchy. Tasty and satisfying. Really, really enjoyed this one.

Can from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of liquorice and blueberry. Flavour of blackcurrant, dark malt and cranberry. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Dark, tangy and very tasty. I love BIPAs and wish they were more commonplace.

Can ordered from Elusive. Aroma has malty chocolate cut through with citrus. Dark and glossy. Slightly ruby tinted. Thick fluffy foamy beige head. Stubborn lacing. Mocha. Charcoal. Bitter. Tangy citrus and stone fruit edge. Develops a sweet streak. Underlying herbs. Medium bodied; edging towards heavy. Oily. Soft lazy fizzy carbonation. A good pairing with a cold night, silky but hoppy.
