A classic example of a beer mild in hops but not in flavour. Sweetness balanced by bitter chocolate malt to produce a rare but much sought after traditional mild.

Note: Has been brewed at various strengths between 3.6% and 4.7%

500ml bottle. Pours a dark ruby brown with a small frothy head. Aroma is roast coffee, not that strong. Some coffee and malt to start and some chocolate on the finish. Medium bitter finish. Very smooth. Glad to see it drinks above its strength.

Bottle. Reddish black beer with a light head. The aroma is milky chocolate with bitter and roasted notes, and the flavour is quite bitter and roasted. Overall a nice quite bitter and roasted mild, and more stronger tasting than the average mild.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, sulphur, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, sulphur, and a bit of roasted finish, leading to a dry finish. Nice mild, though not my favorite style. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
