Really nice. Quite milky, very roasty. Choc and toffee too. It’s nice!

Can from the brewery, mail order. Rich nose, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, roasted malt. Slightly creamy. Black, with a tall, fine, tan head. Medium sweet, roasty and chocolaty, coffee is not overdone and goes well with the chocolate. Roasty, slightly bitter finish. Nicely balanced and tasty. Could be somewhat sweeter.

First up is: Baeren Coffee Stout 6.5% A new release from Baeren for Valentine’s this year is this Coffee Stout which pours a ruddy brown and settles to almost black in the glass with a tan foam and nice chocolatey aroma. Medium bodied with a scratchy mouthfeel. The taste is roasty bittersweet milk coffee with notes of chocolate. Not the best looking or most exciting brew but pretty solid.
2025 version from a can:
Baeren Coffee Stout 6.5%
Deep brown verging on black with a dense thick fluffy head of tan foam and an enticing coffee aroma. Made with Nagasawa coffee this smooth full bodied stout is a spot on example of the style for a very reasonable price.
