Bottle, 75cl corked. Thx to myrup for sharing. It is always nice to open a beer from Bøgedal. Actually, it is always nice to open those corked and caged bottles. Maybe that’s some of the fascination with Bøgedal. But of course, the beers are normally very nice. Well, enough BS. It poured with a deep, reddish brown color and a nice, beige head. The nose was sweet and slightly roasted, and had a little yeasty touch that I could do without. Flavorwise it was quite roasted and caramel-sweet, but not overly sweet at all. There were also some coffee and a wee note of chocolate. Full body. The finish was long and quite sweet, with caramel and some roasted malt. In two words; quite lovely. (071005)

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Bøgedal Nr. 90. Clear, warm, dark brown with a reddish hue and a tall and handsome, beige head leaving solid laces. Discreet aroma of hard roasted malt. Medium body with roasted malt accents, some burned caramel - and then and unfortunate, lightly fusty edge. Some burned malts in the finish. 051007

75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with lacing light brown head. Caramel roasted malt aroma with minor liqourice note. Flavour is caramel and slight chocolate smooth. Has a faint hint of coffee. Ends nicely smooth and coffee flavoured. I’m going to enjoy my own bottle of this at some time - great stuff.

750 ml champagne bottle. Almost clear, dark amber body with a fine beige head. Aroma is slightly roasted malt with a little hint of hops. Flavor is surprisingly fresh and clean malty. A harmonic hint of caramel and a gentle bitter finish. Medium body with a quite light character, still firm and distinctive. A really solid brew from this fine brewery.
