Pours clear deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, rye, citrus, peach and melon. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long smooth, fruity, malty and bitter finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap @ the brewpub. Slightly hazy amber body with a small beige head. Aroma has some caramel malt, biscuit, bread and lots of citric hops, hint of grapefruit and some grassy hops. Flavor is quite sweet, but has a fine bitter balance, caramel malt, toast, biscuit, pine and marmalade. A fine body with a long and bittersweet aftertaste. Too bitter for an amber ale, but why get stuck in styles. This is a smooth and tasty beer somewhere between an amber and IPA. The kind of beer you just need another of if you happened to like beer.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s an unclear, amber beer with a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma is quite hoppy, with citrus peel and pine cones, as well as some sugary sweetness. Maybe a tad too sweet in the mouth, and maybe a tad too bitter got an Amber, but I like it. Citrus peel, pine cones and sugary sweetness, some light roasted notes and a little bready hint. Full body, next to sticky, and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish. Yet another fine brew from this brewery, couldn’t resist having one more. 130201
