On tap @ the brewpub. Black body with a lacing beige head. Aroma of dark, roasted malt, strong coffee and fresh green pepper. Quite sweet in flavor, dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and hot chili. Nice in the start, then the chili dominates and burns too much and the whole thing gets out of balance. Not very drinkable in bigger amounts but a funny novelty kind of beer. Fine body with sweet and hot aftertaste.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, oatmeal and hint of chili. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long chili, chocolate and oatmeal finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the the brewpub. A very dark brown beer, topped by a light tan head. Lacings. Roasted and chocolatey, with some coffee and nuts. Hints of chipotle. Quite warming in the mouth, full bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Coffee, chocolate, roasted malts and a good dash of chili. Some bitterness. Lasting finish with a good warmth. Nice, but maybe a tad too warming. Like it though. 130914
