Draught @ Christianssand Brygghus, Kristiansand
Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, citrus, orange and floral. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate and bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap @ the brewpub. Dark brown, almost black with a nice, dense, creamy beige head that stays all the way. Aroma of roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee and fruity hops with some pine. Flavor is sweet, dark malt, roast, fruit, chocolate and a hint of mocha. Very smooth with fine and balanced bitterness, nice body and long aftertaste. Great one without really providing something extraordinary.

On tap at the brewpub. It is a really dark brown one, topped by a dense, tan head leaving nice curtains. Roasted aroma with piney, light grassy hops, licorice and some coffee hints. It’s full bodied and faintly warming, with a pleasant carbonation level. Perhaps a bit sweet, but there’s certainly enough hoppy bitterness to deal with it. Lasting finish where the hop flavor and bitterness most definitely over powers the roasted flavors. A beer worthy of an anniversary. 130912
