Almost clear, dark golden in color, topped by an off-white head of moderate size. Pine cones, resins and hop pellets in the aroma, some malty hints and orange too. The flavor is piney and resiny, mostly keeping the malts outside. Full body, lightly warming and full bodied with a long bitter finish. Nice and tasteful, well worth a try. 130817

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy dark orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out big resinous hops, dry fruity notes, and dry caramel malts. Flavour brings out truckloads of resinous hops, dry zesty pine and a big caramel malt backing. Extremely hoppy and malty at the same time. Big bodied but without much residual sweetness. Great meaty IIPA.

Hazy amber beer, time cream coloured head. Palate is a little viscous and slightly soft. Semi dry. Sweetish malt base, has a caramel streak. Resinous pine hops. Touch of grass and citrus, mostly orange. A little hop spice and aniseed in the semi dry finish with also reveals bittersweet pine.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours hazy orange amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma seems primarily resin over roasted malt. Puts some tang in the nostrils. Med body. It’s very, very fruity. It’s very bitter. Definitely resin following the fruit. Tropical fruit too. Not so sure about citrus. Suspect Nelson tho. There might be some heat, but with the bitter it’s hard to differentiate the two aspects. Head does a little ring lacing. This is not a harsh burning NW beer, but it comes out with about the same impact. Very hoppy. Very bitter. Very, very tasty.
