Kristiansand Øl Festival 2014. Red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruit, malt, alcohol. Flavour is fruit, malt, alcohol, caramel, sugar, oak, vanilla, hop, citrus, dried fruits, wood, vinous. Very nice beer.

On tap @ the brewpub. Unclear dark reddish body with a medium sized off-white head. Strong aroma of malt, dry fruit, oak, vanilla and rather vinous. Flavor has rich, smooth dark malt, oak, vanilla, dry fruit, red wine, hint of chocolate and balanced bitterness. Full body and long delicious aftertaste with a alcohol warming finish. A really delicious beer this one.

Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, redwine and wood. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, dried fruity and wood finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. Also known as Barley Legal. It pours a big creamy off-white head over a reddish dark orange colored body. Sugary malts, oak and vanilla, citrus and nice hoppyness in the aroma. Some chocolate hints. There’s a fine bitterness in the flavor, easily balancing the malty sweetness. Caramel, citrus, vanilla, oak and maltyness in the flavor. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting malty finish with the hops and barrel sure present. Pretty wonderful this one, looking forward to have it again. 140823
