Hazy bronze-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, floral hop and malt. Medium body with flavors of grapefruit, mild hops and grainy malt. The finish is malty up front with a grassy hop aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, bread, floral and grass. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long bready, caramel and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Hazy dark golden body under a small, off-white head. The aroma is lightly malty, with a flowery, citrusy hoppiness. Pine cones, resins, grass and some grapefruit in the flavor, less flowery, and with a nice bitterness. Full to medium body, nice carbonation, rather dry. Lasting finish. A bit on the malty side this one, and with a bit unbalanced hoppyness, but it’s a decent beer anyway. 150625

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a deep dark amber color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left no lacing. The aroma was bitter and a bit tangy with mixed fruity hops and a touch of pine. The flavor was sweetish and somewhat fruity with a bit of perfume. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

12oz bottle from a Tops store in Hamburg, NY, at a stated ABV of 7.0%. The bottle version of this seems to have lost its extreme ABV rating, and is more in line with a standard IPA, and a fairly decent one at that. Copper coloured with a thin cream head; malty aroma with a hint of tropical fruit; sweet fruity malt to start but then a firm woody bitterness builds up; leading to a dry finish with some lingering resins.
