Ale with Cacao Nibs, Vanilla, Coffee and Lactose Added

Inspired by flavors and ingredients found in tiramisu, including ladyfingers, 9 Ladies Dancing mimics the Italian dessert by whipping together flavor combinations and layers of its own. This includes notes of vanilla, chocolate and coffee - clearly the leading ladies in this rich ale.

On tap at Moon Tower. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is vanilla, brown sugar, cocoa, spice. Medium body, vanilla, cocoa, roast finish, good.

Draft 8 oz pour at YardHouse. Bruery everywhere! A muddy brown pour with a thin fizz head. Espresso heavy aroma. Vanilla and sweet malt. Flavor is a toasty caramel malt, sweet vanilla and caramel. Delicious and easy to drink big beer here. Warming and toasty. Good stuff.

Bottle shared at the Christmas party, thanks! Rich brown sugary cocoa and vanilla with bits of earthy peppery spicy yeastiness to counter. Somewhat like two turtle doves but much milder. Decent beer on its own though.

Draft pour at B Side. Poured a muddy dark ruby color with a small white head. Aroma was light coffee, touch of vanilla and some light sweet malty fruit notes. Flavor was light cherry, with chocolate and coffee. Vanilla finish. Not sickly sweet, but just a tinge. Booze is masked more than I expected before consuming. Better than many of the beers in this series.

Not sickly sweet, but just a tinge. Chocolate and coffee come through, with some vanilla... Better than many in this series.
