Tap @ the brewpub. Very dark brown, almost black body with a fine, dense, lacing beige head. Nice aroma of roasted dark malt, mocha, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet, dark, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, balanced bitterness and a hint of some kind of flavor that's difficult to describe but make a little unbalanced, almost spicy touch. Tonka beans maybe? Anyway this flavor is reducing my total score from something that could have been really great to something more average. Fine balanced body and long lasting aftertaste. Not bad at all, starts pretty lovely but there is this flavor that makes some unbalance in my palete.

Black with a brown head - Malt and some chcolate in the aroma - Malt body with some chocolate flavours and some bitterness - The dark malt and chocolate flavours goes into the finish - This was good

Draught @ Christianssand Brygghus
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt and licorice. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, coffee and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On the Brepub 240718. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, tonka beans. Very nice beer.

On tap at the brewpub. A dense, finger-thick beige head sits on top of a close to black body. There's plenty of delicious coffee in the aroma, with roasted malts and chocolate to back it up. Even some vague notes of vanilla and something tonka-ish, but I don't think they have used tonka here. It's soft on the palate, velvety, with a pleasant carbonation level. Semi-sweet, with a ligth bitterness, and not really any warmth. Lots of coffee in the flavor too, with roasted malts and dark chocolate. A lasting coffee-driven swallow finishes the whole thing. Overall, this is a very fine brew, although the level of coffee aroma and flavor makes it almost a bit one dimensional, but I hope I'll be able to have it again. 180707
