2013 bottle from LIDL Smell-malt, caramel, coffee, faint roast. Foam- malt, weak roast, caramel, weak coffee, sweet-ish. Head is medium-sized, white with a brown tint. Appearance-Brewer bottle, cap, I think, is generic, covered by paper. From - pint Taste - malt, caramel, sweetness, weak coffee. Bitter-sweetish and malty aftertaste, with some caramel and faint coffee. I like this, good stuff. And price was cheap on Discord. A keeper. I like it even more now, maybe it hit just the right spot at the right time.

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Saku Pühadeporter 12 Kuud ].[ Courtesy of my EU Secret Winter Santa 2015 - rosenbergh ]. Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, sweet malt, cake - sweet dark fruit, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, sweet dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20161123] 7-4-7-3-14

Bottle 500 ml. Dark brown color, coffee foam. Aroma: caramel, esters, wine, roasted malts. Taste: very sweet, caramel, prunes, wine, warming.

Bottle. Aroma is plain caramel. Light plum. Clear dark brown colour. Taste is overly sweet. Caramel and not much more. Almost nonexistent finish. Average at best.

Bottle. Very dark brown color with huge beige head. Sweet dark malty aroma. Sweet malty taste, caramel, licorice, coffee.

50cl bottle as Saku Pühade Porter at Koht, Tallinn. Pours very dark mahogany with a tan head. Malty and mildly roasty notes, chocolate and hints of coffee and wood. Medium sweet with malty flavours and a certain dryness in the finish. Nice one.

2013 version, sold only in four packs. The label says it’s matured 12 months. No information about actual brewer (Aldaris Latvia?), it only says that distributor is Saku Estonia. Because of this trickery I will remove 2 points from my overall - there should be always clear information about where the beer came from. Pours nice dark brown, almost black with tan head. The small head stays for a long time. Dry aroma of caramel with hints of chocolate. Taste: very sweet, chocolate, liquor, a little bit metallic. It’s also creamy. Nice dark chocolate bitter finish. Overall: a little bit too sweet for my taste, but it’s one of the best Estonian beers I have tasted (altough I think I should say one of the best Latvian beers...?!) bb 10.2014, so aged for 3 years. Ages really well, +1 to aroma, flavor and +1 of overall.
