Tap @ the brewpub. Unclear brown body with a long lasting, 3mm dense, lacing beige head. The smoke is rather mild in aroma with soft chocolate malt and hint of toast. Flavor is definitively smooth with dark malt, chocolate, toffee and delicate part of smoke, a little hint of bacon and medium bitterness. Fine body and long-lasting pleasant aftertaste. A pleasant beer with rather mild smoke as I prefer – distinct but not overwhelming.

On tap at the source. It's an unclear brown colored beer with a finger thick dark beige head. Some curtains. The aroma is quite smoked, with ham and bonfire, coffee hints, burnt malts and notes of dark rye bread. It's full bodied, silky and semi-sweet, with lots of smoke in the flavor. Dark rye bread, coffee, bonfire notes, ham and a touch of sweetness. Lasting finish. Dang it's good to have a really smoked one again. 190807
