Vrijwel heldere diep amber kleur met een plakkerige, vies-beige kraag met goede wandplak. Geur is fruitig, geroosterd, roggebrood. In de mond is het meer geroosterd en minder fruitig, iets zoete drop, melasse. Smaak is bitterig, geroosterd, iets fruitzurig. Lichte tot medium body. Redelijk bittere afdronk. Qua smaak komt deze wel in de buurt van een Irish stout, qua uiterlijk en geur totaal niet.

Bottle. Almost black. Roast, ash, chocolate and a hint of licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty flavor with caramel and pear drups.

Quite sour. Not sure if that is intended, but I do like it! Otherwise OK stout'ish, roasted, with a bit too much carbonation.

0,3 l bottle. BB 05/18. Thanks to my brother Torsten. Pours out in a darkest red brown with an huge off white head. Smells very sour fruity, like barrel aged. Taste starts fruity. Later little bit increasing malt, but always fruity sourness. Don´t know, if this was intended. Little roasted malt. Not bad at all but not a stout in this way.

Bottle [from trade with Shivandragon] shared with Dutchdrebus. Muddy very dark brown color, medium sized beige head. Smell malts, slightly iron, molasses, slightly some sweetness from overripe fruits. Tastes about the same: malts, a touch of caramel, lightly molasses and ripe fruits with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Medium but suitable body and carbonation. Pretty nice beer.

Bottle @ home thx to benzai. Dark brown with a ruby glow, small beige head. Smells roasty, dark malts, some iron, some chocolate. Tastes slightly roasty, just a hint of chocolate, chocolate bitterness. Medium body, soft carbo.

30cl Bottle bought on Ameland. Dark brown to black colour, light-beige head. Aroma of ash, liquorice, hard roasted malts, booze. Flavour is hard roasted malts, earth, dirt, mud, hint of chocolate, liquorice, bitter roast finish. Light-bodied. Too muddy/yeasty.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Bikkelha'd, stoutbier on 18 May 2018 at 11:45 - Score: 7

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black. Starts fine malty, not too roasty, interesting coffee notes. Finish drier, hints of chocolate. Warming-malty finish. Nice!
