On tap at the brewpub. Not to sure if this is to be registered as Belgium Golden ale or some kind if Sasion? It’s quite Belgium in style as it has Westmalle trappist yeast, on the other hand it’s definitively quite Saion’ish in the ester profil. Anyway, its unclear, almost hazy pale golden with a medium sized white head. The aroma is dominated by yeast and ester, feels a bit spicy/peppery and hint of pale malt. Flavor is rather soft, pale malt, again lots of yeast and ester, slightly acetone kinda flavor. Medium body and aftertaste in the same direction. Not bad, not very exiting, still almost a bit extreme in yeast flavor/aroma. Hard to nail this actually even with a big glass of this. Probably suitable for some dishes I think, fish/vegetables/salad kind of food.

On tap at the brewpub. It's an unclear orange colored beer with a nice white head. Cute lacing. The aroma is a bit weird, but nice when you get used to it. There's some spiced Belgian style banana fruityness, along with piney, citrusy notes and some bread hints. Some funky hints too. It's very smooth on the palate, full bodied and rather sweet, with a flavour profile more or less identical to the aroma. A gentle bitterness tames some of the sweetness. Long fruity finish wth the yeast a bit more pronounced, along with white bread, banana and a herbal bitterness. Overall, sure not your average beer, but it's quite tasteful and pleasant. 190502
