Bottle. Clear deep brown body with a nice, medium sized, lacing beige head. Not often seen this kind of head with beers at this strength. Strong, good malty aroma with caramel and dry fruit. Very pleasant in flavors as well, smooth, sweet dark malt, caramel, dry fruit, decent bitterness and boozy alcohol in some kind of pleasant warming way. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. What a surprise!

Bottle at home. Three year old. Has a deep brown colour with a small light beige head. Aroma of vinegums, fudge, tobacco, vanilla, cranberry, and oak. Hint of liqour. Flavour of leather, oak, rum, rubber, champagne, dried cranberry and fudge. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. One of kind beer where the sweetness in a doppelbock meets sweetness from barrel aging.

Ravfarget klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter vanilje, karamellfudge og eik. Fyldig. Smaker søt karamell, vanilje, lett bitter brent karamell og alkohol. Lang. (Grûnerløkka Mikrobryggfestival 2019).

On tap at the brewpub, Kråka. A clear reddish brown beer with a dense finger-thick beige head on top. The aroma is of the sweetish kind, with caramel, dried fruits and some alcohol. Bread notes in the back. It's full-bodied, warming and sweet on the palate, slightly sticky, with a soft carbonation. Caramel, dried fruits and bread in the flavor, with a little bitterness, some vague hop notes and of course alcohol. Lasting sweet finish. Sure not bad this one, but a bit lacking on complexity and a tad too gentle on everything but the alcohol. Perhaps some appropriate snack to chew on would lift the experience. 190222
