Tap @ the brewpub. Almost black body under a dense, long lasting brown/beige head. Lovely aroma of medium roasted dark malt, lots of chocolate, cocoa and coffee. Flavor is really smooth, dark, mild roasted malt, dry, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, hint of piny bitterness and well balanced bitterness. Fine body, long lasting aftertaste. I really liked this.

From tap at Christianssand Brygghus while waiting for the train 19.11.18. Dark brown to ebony. Dense and persisten pale brown head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of roasted barley, newly roasted coffe, dark chocolate, dark syrup and pine. Well-balanced, with good bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub. It's a dark brown beer with a dense finger-thick beige head leaving lacing. The aroma has cocoa, chocolate, hints of coffee, prunes and raisin, with a light vegetal touch in the far back. The flavor too has cocoa playing the leading role, with chocolate, some coffee and dark dried fruits and some faint vegetal, grassy notes. Some citrus zest hints too. It's a bit heavy on the carbonation, still very smooth, and medium to full-bodied. Lasting cocoa finish with a vegetal touch and a bit too much bitterness. Anyway, it's a fine brew. 181018
