Pours deep red with no head. Aroma has notes of honey, blackcurrant and tartness. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium tart with a warm, blackcurrant and honey finish. Body is full, texture is oily, no carbonation

Bottle courtesy of Gunfryd. Nice, clear deep red body without any head. Aroma has honey, Black currant and dark berries in general with a touch of blackcurrant leaves. Taste is sweet but not overwhelming honey, concentrated black currant juice and some acidity. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste that ends a bit sweeter and more alcoholic than first impression. Feels a bit unusually with the alternating feeling between sweet and moderate sweet. Lots of juice from berries in combination with alcohol tends to give a bit sharp edged taste. Not a mead I could drink a lot of (goes for most of them) but definitely an interesting one that deserves some attention beyond the typical superficial ticker sip. Still not a big fan.

Bottle. It's a crystal clear ruby red mead, still and oily. The aroma has lots of berries, but in a quite sharp way, remining me more of a young blackberry booze than a blackcurrant mead. It's full-bodied, warming and sweet on the palate, with a herbal bitterness in the back. Dark berries, honey, flowers and a touch of grass in the flavor. Sweet berries finish. A bit uninteresting this one, and sort of unbalanced, with very little honey. 210613
