Bottle from ShivanDragon. Many thanks! Dark brown/black beer with brown creamy foam. Nose of coffee and roasted malts. Lots of carbonation (too much). Taste is malty with harsh bitterness. Some light sour coffee notes. Not bad, but not the best stout.

0.33 l bottle from ’Wijnkoperij Wielinga’, best before September 2017. Sweetish, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, and licorice. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee and some licorice, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and a little effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Average, not really convincing.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque black color, medium to full sized initially fizzy light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, dark and roasted malts, firm liquorice and a hint of peat. Taste malts, dark malts, again liquorice and some peat although perhaps there’s a hint of coffee there as well. Decent bitterness. Decent to medium body, fizzy carbonation.

Bottle @ benzai. Black with a huge light brown head. Smells and tastes coffee, roasty, slightly peat liquorice. Medium body, medium fizzy carbo.

400 stout omdat er per batches maar 400 flesjes gemaakt worden. Schenkt donkerbruin met vrij veel koolzuur die een enorm volle bruine kraag tot het gevolg heeft. Aroma van chocolade, koffie, laurier, volmoutig, zoet, gebrande gerst. Smaken zijn lekker vol, glad tot zelfs wat romig, scherp karakter(pepertje), laurier, matig zoet, matig bitter, donkere chocolade, gebrand karakter van de gerst en de koffie, iets te veel mond vullend koolzuur voor een stout, alcohol, prima (vol) moutig karakter, redelijke body, afdronk blijft lang aanhouden, al met al goede stout.
