Bottle at home. Pours a deep reddish brown colour with a big light beige head. Aroma of nuts, coffee, tar, rye bread, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Flavour of roasted malt, oak, coffee, soy sauce, walnuts and dark chocolate and some smoke. Has a slick and slightly soft mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. Malty and very tasteful. Well balanced and wonderful.

Bottle. A lightly reddish dark brown beer, mostly clear, with a dense dark beige head of moderate size. The aroma is nutty and roasted, with dark chocolate and some coffee hints. It's rather effervescent, over carbonated that is, semi-sweet and full-bodied, with a light alcohol warmth. The flavor has more chocolate and coffee than the aroma, less nuttyness, with some alcohol and caramel. Medium length finish. A bit alcohol edgy this one, and with a bit too harsh roasted malts kind of bitterness, else there's lots of good things going on here. 220121

Bottle. Slightly unclear dark brown body under a lacing, moderate sized tan head. Aroma is slightly roasted malt, some caramel, chocolate, toast and a bit nutty. Taste is sweet brown malt, medium sweet, chocolate, hint if caramel and balanced bitterness. Fine body and smooth, malty aftertaste. A decent brown ale indeed.
