Tap @ the brewpub. Pitch black body with a minimal but lacing beige head. Nice aroma of dark malt, roasted coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is super smooth with the same indigence as found in aroma, dark, smooth roasted malt, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, nice bitterness, vanilla and a fine balance between sweetness, bitterness and alcohol. Nice body and long lasting smooth, slightly warming aftertaste. A super balanced beer, the sweetness is just sweet without being sticky, the vanilla is just distinct but not like a typical pastry adjunct beer. Wonder what some barrel aging might could have done with this?

On tap at Sørlandet Matfestival. It's almost black in the glass, with a dense, finger-thick pale tan head. Some curtains. The aroma has roasted malts, caramel sauce and hints of coconut, some alcohol, a touch of oats and some dark chocolate and cocoa. It's full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, smooth, with a bit more alcohol in the flavor than in the aroma. Perhaps a bit too dry. Roasted malts, cocoa, oats, caramel sauce, some vanilla and coconut and a vague coffee-ish hint in the flavor. Lasting rather dry finish with lots of cocoa. Nice indeed. 190712

Black with a brown head - Dark malt and chocolate aroma - Dark malt body with chocoalte and some coffee flavours with a good balancing bitterness - The malt with chocolate and coffee falvours with some bitterness goes to a long finish - This was real good
