Bottle, at the brewpub. It pours a hazy pale copper body under a dense fingerthick light beige head. The aroma is lightly smoked, with a pleasant funky, earthy, woody and meaty smell, some peppery hints, juniper, alcohol and a hint of orange marmalade. It's full bodied and velvety on the palate, sweet but not cloying, yet with a light sourness. Some bitterness chiming in, along with a complex mix of flavors. Caramel, dark bread, juniper, hints of pepper and alcohol, some orange marmalade, an earthy touch, and an underlying smoked note. Lasting finish with all the good stuff from the initial flavor lingering. Delicious indeed. So complex, gentle, smooth, tasteful and moreish. 210729

Shared bottle at the cidery with Holmen1, JFE and JKE on tour with Fridtjofen 12.06.20. Cloudy dark orange amber. Diminishing head. Excellently balanced aroma and taste of medium dark malt, juniper, smoke and sugar. True to style and with good drinkability. Appropriately low carbonation.
