On tap at the brewpub. A dark brown beer with a finger thick light beige head leaving cute lacing. The aroma is roasted with some dark chocolate, coffee hints and some burnt hints. A hint of dark dried fruit too. It's mostly dry on the palate, nicely carbonated and medium to full bodied, with a good dash of toast. Burnt malts, some chocolate, coffee and dark dried fruit. Long finish. A bit unbalanced, but not bad at all. 230114

Tap @ the brewpub. Dark brown body under a dense beige head. Strong aroma of malt and lots of chocolate, some nuts with a hint of pine. Taste is quite smooth with malt, chocolate, toast, dry fruit and balanced bitterness. Fine body and aftertaste. A pleasant, food friendly brown ale.
