Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are malt and hops.

Think Budweiser. Maybe add a little more hops and perhaps a slightly better aroma. That’s about it. This beer is everywhere in Spain and is a typical macrobrewed pale lager, meaning it’s thin, watery, fizzy, yellow, etc. It’s suitable for eventually getting you buzzed if you drink a lot of it and that’s about it. But in Spain it’s the only Spanish beer you’ll see most places. Every bar seemed to have Heineken, Amstell Light, and San Miguel on tap (2 out of 3 not even Spanish). I gather the Spanish aren’t known for beer.

Light blond color; poor head. Sweet, cheap malt aroma. Quite dry and refreshing, but useless.

1 liter bottle (probably the best way to drink this). Slightly sweet malt with a tad of skunkiness. Clear light yellow color. Light malt flavor with medium carbonation. Decent palate. Not as good in can or small bottles - better on the beach but then again, what beer isn’t. Try it if you’re in Spain, otherwise probably not worth your time.

Can (BB 04/2005)
Lager color, lively carbonation, decent white head and lace. Fresh hops in the nose but also some corn notes. Carbonated, crisp mouthfeel. Quite watery, only some hints of hops in the aftertaste.

Below average lager. You''re bound to find better alternatives than this one. Bland, corn, uninteresting. The slightly stronger San Miguel Especial (Spain) is at least somewhat better.
