Bottle 650ml @ Rasmus. Pours hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol and some fruitiness. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long malty, caramel and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pre-Tasting Jæren Ølfestival 2022. Amber color with a beige head. Aroma is yeast, apple, alcohol, raisin. Flavor is is alcohol, apple, raisin, alcohol, dried fruit, chocolate, caramel, pine, vanilla. Powerful very nice beer.

Bottle 22oz, at Jæren Ølfestival pre-tasting. It’s a quite clear one, amber in color, with a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma is lightly alcoholic, with dried apricot, dark chocolate, caramel hints and a piney, minty touch. It’s full-bodied, warming and quite smooth on the palate, with a good sweetness. Dried fruit, caramel, alcohol, some chocolate and a nice hoppyness in the flavor. Lasting finish. A delicious one, even though it’s way too heavy. Sure a kind of beer Hoppin’ Frog brews better than most breweries. 220812

Sample during the Hoppin’ On Deck 4 tasting on 06/13/2020. Clear copper-orange color with a medium eggshell white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of roast malt, fruit, caramel and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty and fruity aftertaste. Good beer overall.
