Sweet dark chocolate malty with lots of sweet sticky caramel and fudge like sweetness, medium plus body, dark sweet malty salted caramel malty finish. Can, at Jæren Ølfestival pre-tasting. It’s almost clear in the glass it seems, close to black, with a finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma has lots of peanut, peanut butter actually, with some dark chocolate, caramel and a touch of oats. It’s medium to thin bodied, surprisingly, with a very soft carbonation. Sweet. The flavor has caramel, lots of peanut butter, some dark chocolate, salt and a touch of caramel in the flavor. Too thin and too sweet and artificial this one. 220812

Keg at BD Inverurie. It pours black with a small khaki head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, savoury, salty, umami, intoxicating peanut butter vibes, plain chocolate and umami. The taste is pretty smooth, rich roasted malt, umami, toasty, charred oak, chocolate, plenty of peanut butter, sticky, peanut brittle, salted caramel, tannin, peanut butter cup, savoury and a touch of vanilla. Finish is dry and roasty. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Never too sweet. Nice bitter - sweet balanced and moreish. Works super well.
