On tap at Mikkeller Brewpub London, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out rich dark malts, burnt sugars, and a touch of liquorice. Flavour is very rich, with burnt dark sugars, deep roasted malt, and bitter dry cocoa powder. Lots of dark sugars, cocoa and a pronounced chalky bitterness on the finish. It's good but for the ABV, the depth / complexity isn't where I'd want it.

Superficial festival rating at Brew Festival, Oslo 2022. Saturday session 2. Black body under a nice, dense beige head. Aroma is nice with mild roasted dark malt and biscuit. Taste is super smooth, mild dark malt, slightly fruity and balanced bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste.

Can 440ml (Beerdome)
Opaque colour, tiny brownish head.Toasted aroma has coffee and ash. Medium-bodied. Smooth palate. Toasted, coffee, licorice, malty. Low bitterness so certainly toward Porter. Hides ABV quite well. Ok.

On tap at Brew Festival. A black one, with a minimal sized tan head. Quite neutral aroma with a light burnt touch, some dark dried fruits and roasted malts. It’s sweet and warming on the palate, soft and full-bodied, with a malt driven flavor. Roasted malts, burnt notes, raisin and fig, as well as a light touch of pine cones and green leaves. Medium length finish. A beer that feels disappointing at first, but turns out quite nice. And it hides the alcohol well. 220430
