Herman is the IPA we brew to celebrate Mat’s Papa. Pilsner malt lays the foundation for this beer while malted and flaked oats are added to give it a full and rounded mouthfeel. Citra, Strata, Centennial, and Amarillo hops are added for notes of pineapple, candied berries, and orange zest.

Draft at Proeflokaal De Hoppenaar, on an evening with nice beers and good company. Didn't take notes, so this is what I remember: Hoppy, citrus, a lot of grapefruit. Nice bitterness.

On tap at Stigbergets Fot. An orange colored beer, hazy, with a minimal sized white head. Some lacing. The aroma has a vague note of diacetyl, but it's mostly fruity. Citrus and a touch of pine. Orange zest hints. It's full to medium bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated, with a piney bitterness. Fruity flavor with grapefruit, orange zest and some pine cones. A hint of malts too. Some diacetyl annoys a bit, but it's still a decent beer indeed. 240721

Can from Ale Arsenal to glass. Pour a orange-gold with off-white head that is moderate to start and retains throughout with slight patterning. Aroma is citrus and slight bread. Flavor is orange and slight tropics. A slight bit of funk comes out in the back half. Malty bread comes through more as it warmed.

Can. Pours a bright yellow hue with a medium white head. A sweet citrus and straw nose. Very tropical, dominant pineapple, sweet, bready base. Very good.
