Legacy No.2 is a Barleywine aged for 14 months in Wild Turkey Bourbon and Peated Islay Whiskey barrels. The combination of roasted, sweet malt flavors from the barleywine is enhanced by the rich caramel and vanilla notes from the bourbon, along with the smoky, peaty character from the Islay whiskey. Elevated by the caramel and toffee from the bourbon, creating a luscious, rich sweetness that balances the beer's malt-forward profile. The peated Islay whiskey imparts a smoky, earthy quality that contrasts with the sweetness and adds a unique flavor dimension. Additionally, a mix of spices, charred wood, and complex oak notes from both barrels contributes to a nuanced and balanced flavor profile. Overall, you can expect a rich, indulgent Barleywine with deep caramel, toffee, and vanilla notes, beautifully complemented by smoky, peaty, and woody elements from the barrel aging process, resulting in a complex and satisfying beer.
