CBH2025. 2022 vintage. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is zest, chocolate and mild syrupy tones with some alcohol to it too. Flavour is chocolate, some toasted and nutty tones with zesty and mild wooden tones to it too. Alcohol also gives some warmth.

Can. 2021 vintage. A dark brown beer with a small dark beige head. Lots of orange aroma escapes the glass upon opening, and follows you all the way to the swallow and beyond. Dark chocolate, toffee, coffee and brown sugar. It feels a bit thin on the palate, it's softly carbonated and quite sweet, with a gentle warmth. Sweet flavor with caramel, roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee, and a good dash of the already mentioned orange. Sort of artificial in a way. Not very impressed with this one, 2020 vintage was better i think. Rating: 6-4-6-4-14. 2022 vintage, can. It looks black in the glass, with a small light tan head. Gentle aroma with roasted, burnt malts, alcohol, some sourish smoke and a touch of nuts and coffee. It's semi-sweet, warming and nicely carbonated, with some bitterness. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, bitterness, some orange zest hints and dark dried fruit in the lasting flavor. Not sure which of the two vintages I prefer, but it seems the 2022 vintage didn't age well. Rating: 6-4-6-4-14. 240203

Can picked up at plupwine and drunk at home (20/12/2022) - Dark sweet and roasted malty with opulent chocolate, some toffee and caramel, the orange is there but nicely well balanced, very Terrys Chocolate Orange, silky mouthfeel, orange infused chocolate malty close. Lovely. --- Beer merged from original tick of KRAMPUS 2021 on 26 Mar 2025 at 12:14 - Score: 8.
