A love story five years in the making finally reaches its apex; our first ever sour beer has grown up and become part of our core range. A labour of love for our sour beer wizard Lally, we’d always maintained previously that we’d never attempt a style unless we worked with a brewery that knew what they were doing, or we’d bring someone on board comfortable with it. To have elevated one of our sour beers to regular brew status shows just how much faith we have in our fruit-forward output, and Cherry does exactly what it says on the tin – sweet morello cherries dance alongside gentle sourness, with a slight savoury edge

3/1/2026. Can at Polly’s Kesgrave beer share, courtesy of ITFCfan. Good pour. Nice cherry, cherry pie, pastry, hedgerow aroma. Moderate sweetness and tartness. Average carbonation. Good looks/aroma but lacked some follow through.

Deep purple with a frothy pink head and a mellow black cherry aroma. Creamy with a fruity flavour, minimal sourness, comes across a little thin despite its creaminess. Watery flavour, not much oomph.

Can from Lupe Pintos. Beetroot purple body with a pink head that fades. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of earth and sour cherry. Flavour of cherry cola and a lightly sour finish. Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. It’s fine overall, but tastes quite empty and is maybe lacking a bit of sweetness to balance it all.

Keg at The Escapist, Petersfield. Opaque Ribena ruby purpleness. Thin purple foamy head. Aroma combines sweet Cheery with a sour pithy streak. Flavourwise we have sor cherry. Pulpy. Skins. A vinous hint. Light-medium bodied. Slick and that pithy again. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Was told it was fantastic but kinda unexciting if pleasent as a sour.
