A real winter warmer, but to be savored any time of the year. Bonfire toffee in a glass. Brewed with Pale Ale, Crystal and Chocolate Malts with a complex blend of treacle using Golden Syrup, Blackstrap Molasses and Caramel. This beer lets the malt complexity and character shine. A blast from the past toasting an age before the industrial revolution.

Cask at the Nottingham Beer Festival 2023. Deep brown colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are malty spiced and slight sweet golden syrup. Medium body

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a dark chocolate brown, but with a reddish tinge. Minimal head. There’s a lovely aroma of burnt treacle and toffee. Much the same in the mouth, but there even more flavours come through. Parkin, treacle, molasses and oats on a bed of caramel. Chewy with some sweetness there as well. Finish is sweet and sticky. Marvellous !
