Cask at the Nottingham Beer Festival 2023. Jet black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted malty and coffee bitter. Rich body.

Keg at MSBH. It pours darkest brown to black with a small yellow - beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, toasty, sappy, rich roasted malt, liquorice, umami, toasted sesame, chocolate cake and malt loaf. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, toasty, earthy wood, nutty, umami, tannin, cola, plenty of espresso coffee action, coffee cake, malt loaf and dull alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Decent. Good caffeine hit.
