Can split at Tilt, Bingo-Cotts Convention, picked up from an online peddler whose name escapes me 08/07/23. Black with a good sized tan cap that retains well. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, toffee crisp. Taste comprises toasted brown sugars, cocoa powder, dried fruit rinds, mellow roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Tidy enough straight up stout.

Not Cotts 23. Aroma is smokey with chocolate. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Tang6 berries followed by creamy chocolate. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long finish.

440ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately and caramel malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, dark caramel, caramel flavours white coffee. Taste is roasty dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, a touch of lactose, burnt caramel, subtle residual sweetness. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, fine, soft carbonation. Slight disharmony / imbalance between roasty and sweet-ish flavours - not exactly my cup of tea.
