Barbapapa is an all malt, rich, dark stout for cold weather. Barbapapa means "father's beard" in French... our Barbapapa has a few things stuck in his, including Scarlet's pet ferret.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Mostly clear, very dark chestnut brown. Fine and dense, lasting tan head. Some legs, too. Nose has caramel truffle. Amaretti biscuit. Cocoa. Roast malt. Toasted pine nut. Taste has a toothsome sweetness, turning dry, vinous and earthy bitter. Super smooth mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Drinks stupidly easy for the ABV. Nice toffee and chocolate chew on the finish. Top tier gear.
