33cl bottle from my Secret Santa, thanks MisoW! 7,6% / bbe 26.02.201? . Pours black in color with a dense, thick everlasting brown head. Cocoa, milk chocolate, slight sourness in aroma. Flavor has yeast, citrusy notes, roasted malt, chocolate and some sourness. Gets a little better as it warms up though, buy not fond of the sourness.

bottle from #Secret Santa ’15, thanks @Cuso pours black with a foamy brown head. aromas of sweetness, chocolate, malts, a bit sour notes.... oh no not again......taste of medium sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, burnt and roasted malts, chocolate, mocca, thin and watery, powder, dry, medium body, thin feel, low carbonation. don’t know if the sourness in this beer is intended or it’s the results of an infection or fruits. --- Beer merged from original tick of Russian Imperial Stout on 15 May 2018 at 14:40 - Score: 6

12oz hand bottle thanks to Cuso! Pours a viscous, opaque black with some thin, beige head. Nose is very cakey, sweet, caramel, toasted bread, some pitted fruit, raisin, molasses, a little pencil lead. Flavor is sweet, fruity, almost a little grape jelly, malty, raisin, molasses, caramel. Full, sweet, fruity finish.

(Handbottled, 0.5 l, courtesy of rosenbergh, 20121216) The beer poured black. No head was formed. Aroma had liquorice, spiciness, dark chocolate vineousness and roasted malts. Palate was full bodied with very low carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, sweetness, dark chocolate, hint of coffee and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. The spiciness in the aroma was a bit weird but the taste was very good. The hand bottling and trasportation from Slovakia to Finlad must have had some effects that resuled in weirdness in the aroma.

Tap at RJ, 2nd batch. Very dark brown colour. Creamy light brown head. Aroma coffee, roasted, chocolate. This combination flows continually throughout the drinking of this beer in a very balanced manner. Full body, chewy mouthfeel, taste exceptionally balanced bitter and sweet. Maybe some raspberries to be found. Finish is warm, heavy roasted, yet sweet chocolate hints. Alcohol hidden well. Overall very good, lacking only some eccentric twists. 8 5 8 4 17. Rerate 3rd batch. Aroma chocolate, toffee, nuts. Light coffee. Taste same as aroma. Nicely balanced, but with light sourish notes. 7 4 7 3 15 at best. Rerate 4th batch. Aroma caramel, toffee, milk chocolate. Quite tempting. Almost black colour. Brown head, reasonable duartion. Taste is rather sweet, dark chocolate, roasted notes, light fruits, light coffee. However I detect light off-putting solvent, maybe soap. Moutfhfeel is smooth creamy, nicely drinkable considering the strength. Better than the 3rd, but far from the masterpiece that was 2nd.
