A Bird Cage is the nickname for the Brakeman's or switchman's lantern, what better name for our Gose, wait its actually our Flamingo Gose.. If you don’t know what type of beer a Gose is we can tell you that it’s hailing from the 16th century and was brewed in the city of Goslar, Germany. Its traditionally lemon sour, herbal with a strong saltiness. We decided to add 40 grams per liter Raspberry to ours, which makes it a Flamingo Gose in our opinion…

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een troebel oranje rosé kleurig bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een fruitige wat zure geur. De smaak is zurig en fruitig, framboos achtig.

Draft at Wild West Brew Fest ‘18, Amsterdam. Very hazy orange red with barely any head. Aroma of fresh raspberry, tart raspberry, citrus and wheat. Flavour is above light sweet and light moderate sour. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Dark orange to somewhat amber color, virtually no head. Sour lactic aroma as far as anyone can actually smell that. That's what it reminds me of anyway. Flavor however is quite moderately sour, quite soft and a nice raspberry note indeed. Not sure if this is a gose per se though. I don't have enough knowledge of this style to really say anything about it, so for me this might just as easily be a berliner weisse tbh. It's quite nice though.
