Pours black, no head. Scent is raw, rough and roasty. Bit smoked. Taste is sharp, tar, peat. Mild chocolate. not my kind of stout, but certainly well made.

Draught Small rim over deep red-rimmed black beer. Shoepolish, treacle, waffle candi syrup. Dry, ashy, roast and treacle combined. Strange balance, but OK. Very chewy, oily, syrupy, alcoholheat; thick creamy MF. Sweet, but Menno is tweaking again. All the better.

Op tap bij Borefts '24. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Mooie klassieke stout, veel gebrande smaken, koffie, pure chocolade, licht droppig, bitter. Medium body.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 22/09/24. Black with a good sized khaki head that thins to the edge. Nose is dark malts, cocoa powder, raisins, charr, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises chocolate, spice, dark malts, dried fruits, toffee, hint of vanilla, charr. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced kick of alcohol. Tidy enough easy drinking affair if little wow offered.

Tap at Borefts. Black with barely any head. Licorice, tar, sweet malts, oily, blackberries. Over medium sweet, less bitter. Full bodied, oily feel.

20/IX/24 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, Brouwerij De Molen (Bodegraven), BB: n/a (2024-933) Thanks to the Brewver crew for sharing today’s beers!
Clear dark brown to black beer, practically no head, unstable bubbles, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, a soft roast, alcohol, a bit floral, pretty yeasty, some cocoa powder. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet malts, earthy, deep bitter roast, hoppy, alcohol, earthy, more bitterness, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: roasted, bitter, ome tannins, earthy, malty, grains, meh, not my style really.

Süffiger, mild süßer Beginn. Der rauchige Eindruck zeigt sich schnell als Lakritz, wenig Anis, herb-malzig, mittellanger Abgang. Überraschenderweise gut. 10/9/10/10//10
