Maple Sirup ex-Bourbon BA.
In the start of 2023 we brewed a Doppelbock for the first time, one of our favorite beer styles. The recipe is quite complex when it comes to the malts used and in order to enhance their profile we decided to make a traditional double decoction. While the beer was undergoing its lagering process, Mickael Santos, our barrel dealer, proposed that we collaborate with an extremely special barrel! This barrel aged Wild Turkey bourbon for 8 years, Crown maple syrup for 2 years and finally this Doppelbock for 12 months! We are fascinated with the result and we just hope you like it as much as we do!

Bottle at borefts. Pours deep ruby, nose is chocolate, caramel, maple, toffee, vanilla, taste is similar, warming bourbon.

A clear dark orange brown beer, beige lacing. Aroma of maple syrup, strong caramelized malt, wood. Taste of strong caramelized dark malt, maple syrup, vanilla, slightly boozy.

Clear dark red brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, lots of dried fruits, figs and dates, caramel, malty, grains, whisky, alcohol, ripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: alcohol, bitter, roasted, chocolate notes, pretty rich, grains, malts. Aftertaste: bitter cocoa powder, more chocolate, vanilla, maple syrup, nice one!
