Heel goed bier.

Draft @ Wanderlust 2021, shared with Gentse Biervereniging crew.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Plus, Culemborg.
Dark brown with a small dense beige head. Dark caramel, raisin, fig and plum aroma. Sweet taste with a smooth warming long lasting finish. Great sipper to spend an hour with.

12/IX/21 - on tap @ BBP Wanderlust Festival (Brussels), BB: n/a (2021-1070) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear dark brown beer, practically no head. Aroma: malty, alcohol, grains, lots of chocolate, nice roast, coffee, bit dusty, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice roast, alcohol, bit sweet, bit sugary, more alcohol, malty, earthy touch. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, milk chocolate, grains, more alcohol, some dried fruits, little oxidized, bit sweet, lovely stuff!

33cl bottle from hopt.it. Pours pitch black, with fine brown foam. Aroma is intense of coffee, dark chocolate, figs, molasses, nutty. Body is fairly dense, with low carbonation. Taste is markedly sweet, with a bit of acidity and some hidden bitterness.

Short-lived cream head over almost black beer. Minus 1 point for the wax. Chocolate, woodpulp, nuts, alcohol & fusels. Caramelized apples, faint but obvious sweetness suggested. Drier as expected however in the mouth, again chocolate, cacao, fusely. Full bodied, alcoholheat. A bit harsh, but less sweet than the cognac aging would have warranted. Thanks to Stef!
