Panda at home, thanks to Kenny, 21/10/23. Black with a fast collapsing tan head. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, light roast, toffee, nutty edge. Taste comprises sweet malts, bitter roasted edge, chocolate, hint of tonka, charr, toffee, dried fruit rounds, brown sugar dusting. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent enough sipper but not living up to what I'd hoped for ... little in the way of tonka or coffee offered.

Opaque dark brown black beer, small tan head. Smooth start to the palate, decent fine minerally carbonation coming through. Relatively light malts in the mouthfeel stakes, but with decent and sweet cocoa and dark chocolate. The adjucants are quite mild here, a modest coffee vibe. Hazelnuts are hard to pick up and the Tonka, unusually, blends well with the dark malts. Delightfully fruity rum on the back end. Almost floral fruity and it comes together well with the flavours that proceed it. Nice beer. Was dreading a Tonka bomb but it's far from it.
