Keg from The Hanging Bat on 3rd August 2024. Amber body with a slightly hazy body. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of nuts, caramel and brown bread. Flavour of grain and caramel. Medium bodied with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A very authentic Marzen. Loved this.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - amber with a thin head. Nose - toffee, dried orange and dry biscuit. Taste - burnt toffee, fresh apple and more biscuit. Palate - light to medium bodied, lightly sweet and then lightly astringent. Overall - ok, a bit challenging.
