Poured from a 750 ml, 2021 / 2022 vintage bottle. Aroma is a bit fruity with notes of green grapes, apricots and lemon. Light oak notes. Medium light earthy mustiness. A light peppery, herbal note. Light grain and faint alcohol notes. Pours a slightly hazy, golden color with a large, thick, fluffy, white head that exhibits a lot of retention as it slowly recedes. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a medium light acidity and light grain notes. Light bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Moderately strong fruity notes of green grapes, sour stone fruit and lemon. Light oak notes and earthy mustiness. Faint peppery notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent lambic and maybe my favorite that I've had so far from the family tree project. Perhaps a bit too acidic, but it's not overly sharp.

[ As Tilquin Oude Gueuze à l'Ancienne - Cuvée Paul (2021-2022) ].
ABV: 7.0%. Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, horse blanket, barnyard, leather, grapes, wood, oak, funk. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, funk, oak, grapes, barnyard, leather, citrus, dry. When we finish the last of the bottle, it gave me plenty of apricot thoughts. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20240301]
