There's an aroma of milk chocolate and teddy bear biscuit, plus a strong rye note. Has a delightful mouthfeel with some strong pine needles and citrus to balance out the malty flavours. A delightful sipper that went down a little too fast and had me reeling.

(Can) Pours black with good light brown head. Good aroma of dark roast malt with herbal notes. Medium body, smooth with plenty of fine bright carbonation. Good taste too. Rich and dark. Plenty of dark chocolate, some dark toffee / coffee bitterness. Some dried fruit and rye notes. Alcohol not apparent in taste. Very nice.

Can. Black, lasting inch of tan head. Aroma of mocha, nuts, oranges, some pine. A little more than medium bodied. Moderate sweetness hauled in by insistent bitterness. Quite fruity - oranges, nectarines- but mocha and some roast are just to the fore. Nice earthy/ spicy/ nutty feel fattens things. Very nice.

From a 440ml can on 25/9/2024. Pours a deepest brown with a small to medium tan head. The aroma is dark chocolate, dark fruit and a hint of coffee. Tastes of dark chocolate, licorice, rye and soy, with a moderately sharp roasty bitterness at the back. Has a slick palate and moderate carbonation. A typically excellent big dark beer from this mob.
