Getting to the dregs of the keg. Very astringent and bitter. Difficult to give a fair assessment.

Loads of hazelnut, quite sweet, coffee. Taste is, though, mostly coffee, roasted malt, and almost no hazelnut. Not sure why others loved it that much.

Bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice rich heavy roast hazelnut chocolate and some burnt brown sugar. Taste is more of the nice big roasted hazelnut big chocolate and that burnt note.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy where it exhibits a deep dark colored void of a body that supports a thin dark tan head of foam. The aroma offers up big pulses if dark chocolate blended with hazelnut and peanut butter nuttiness. The taste delivers smooth dark chocolate melded into peanut butter and hazelnut like dry nuttiness. Nice. It carries the bold hazelnut nuttiness right into the finish. The only knock on this is the fairly thin feeling body. All in all a great experience.

On tap at Pure Project - Miramar, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of dark, burnt sugars, toasted hazelnuts, and some earthiness. Flavour is very thick and rich, with rich hazelnut pur�e, dark sugars, and earthiness. Low sugars on the finish, with intense hazelnut. Not the most complex or elegant but there's some nice things going on here. Very good.

650ml bottle. Heavy with hazelnuts, sweet vanilla peanut butter notes, coffee, chocolate and pastry notes. Quite intense. Pretty good.
